A team of five athletes went to the first competition of the season in Dublin this weekend.
Harry Elves kicked off the medal table first with a great performance in Kata claiming a Gold medal in the Inclusive Kata 14-17 years.
Donna Blake went after adding to the Gold tally in Inclusive Senior Kata, performing three katas to claim the win.
The medals kept coming in the morning with Harry having to step up to Senior Inclusive Kumite and fighting against Donna Blake in the final winning a Silver and Gold each respectively. Each being complimented on their level of performance during their victories.
Donna carried on the medal haul by winning Gold in Veterans Kumite.
Matas Staponas then went on to win a Bronze in the Cadet -52kg category after a hard-fought repechage which saw him win 4-0 to claim his medal.
On the second day, Vadim Druta went on to win a Bronze medal in the 8-9 years Kumite +29kg category.
The team finished 8th in the medal table with a total of 4 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronze. An impressive display for only 5 athletes
